She twisted the ring around her finger as the tears slid down her face. The world moving slowly around her while she sat on a warn barren bench. The sun capturing the little tint of grey in her hair, and the wrinkles above her dull blue eyes. Her heart aching for the one she loved to see him smile, to hear him laugh, for his loving embrace. She knew that he was in a better place now, but she just couldn't help but to miss him. She thought to herself God if only I had one more day with him just one more moment before he passed. I know he awaits me in another place, but I just can't help that I miss him. Oh how I wished I could make these days go by so I can be with him. I know I must be patient that I have to wait, but I thank you God for allowing me to have such a wonderful husband. For allowing him to be by my side for over 40 years. Through the ups and the downs he stood rejoicing over the good, crying over the bad, laughing with me, and giving our all to you. I will be patient and will always listen to your word, serving you to the very end. But deep with in my heart I just can't help but to miss him. As she sat on that warn barren bench her mind glanced back to the day when their eyes first locked in that very same spot. For years to come she would return, her heart always missing him. Until finally one day their eyes locked once again for an eternity to never be apart.
