Slowly fading
As time goes by
Every breath getting fainter
Every beat getting dimmer.
Then suddenly a hand appears
and a soft gentle voice says
"Take my hand and follow me.
I have watched you
Your entire life
I have been by your side through it all.
I've laughed with you
I've cried with you
I felt the pain of your struggles.
But nothing could compare to the happiness that i felt
When you finally accepted me into your heart.
For I am your lord
I am your savior
my name you know as Jesus Christ.
Soon we will reach the gates of heaven
Where those you have loved and longed for
Await your arrival
And we will rejoice for now you are truly at peace.
You are home beside me
Beside those who you love
And no more will you feel pain
No more will you shed tears
You will no longer have to suffer.
For you are finally home
Where you belong
With those who have truly missed you.
Now go on and rejoice with those
You had lost
And be with them for a eternity. "
