TWO KINGS

Once in hallowed splendor
A king sat court and pondered,
"How could man alone
Weigh matters like these,
Has my power completely been squandered?"

Yet another King shared wisdom
Unmatched since the dawn's creation
He alone knew solutions
To mankind's vain pollution
Of the King's own bloodgift of salvation.

Will you follow a man or the Godhead
Will you take your instruction from demons
'Cause they'll court you all day
Like a cat sent to play
You the mouse, they the offspring of treason.

A King, sent disguised as a humble born human
He would come to save us at our worst
Will you kneel to His grace
Yes, your soul's fond embrace
Is provided . . . Be ye free from the curse.
