“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” (John 15:1-4).

Jesus is not just a vine. He is the true vine. He is the ONLY true vine. We as Christians are pruned by the heavenly Father so that we may bear more fruit. We are not allowed to remain idle as true believers. We must work at advancing the kingdom of God by spreading the Good News! If we are not in Christ, how can we expect to bear good fruit? Apart from Jesus the fruit we yield will not be good. We will wither and die if we do not belong to Him.

Remain in the true vine always and your good fruit will multiply.
