Grace Sat Down


Happenstance

dark romance

trip upon a stone

we are here

you are there

watching from your throne

knee deep

in the mud

grasping at the straws

all of heaven

watching now

in a silent pause

rustling trees

birds a flight

wind comes rushing in

lightning cracks

across the sky

Christ became our sin

Blood runs red

on Your flesh

flows onto the earth

evil laughs

drags you down

filled with writhing mirth

flames of hell

lick your wounds

lucifer stands proud

demons dance

Circle round

scream his name aloud

You stand up

In the midst

of darkness and decay

grab his neck

Make him bow

he knows he must obey

one by one

precious jewels

From the fallen star

Stripped away

forever lost

Pearly gates too far

In the pit

Jesus stood

stripped him of his power

Tore the keys

from his claws

Toppled all his towers

Glory stood

demons fled

fallen angels burned

Jesus Christ

took it all

His rightful place returned

heaven cheers

Jesus laughs

victory smells sweet

angels waited

in the tomb

by the mercy seat

Grace sat down

Gods only Son

now the King of Kings

Love took sin

rose again

all of heaven sings

one two three

Rolling stone

moved by sinless hand

dark romance

purified

saved by God not man

Holy hush

fills the air

can you feel the wind?

King of Glory

Whispering

whom shall I send?
