Your Excellency, Your Majesty, we lift Your Word in prayer,
As we think of all the wondrous works You’ve done!
Your word is filled with knowledge and with savoir-faire,
Strengthen Him within us....till we’re one!

May Your word take preeminence over everything we hear?
Including all the logic that’s our own!
May it rule in our lives and release us from all fear,
As we sit it in our hearts....upon Your throne?

Fill Your word with power, and might so very strong,
That nothing can resist Your Holy Word.
Then send Him out to conquer and to undo the wrong,
Of the devil and his lies he’s manufactured.

Send Your Word to heal and to set the captives free,
To take back the things which Adam lost?
To break those bonds that binds us, proclaiming liberty,
For our Lord and Savior’s death did pay the cost.

Send forth Your living Word that all may clearly see,
That the devil’s lies are now to be dethroned.
For we’ll see he was defeated at the cross of Calvary,
And the world held in his sway....he never owned.

To undo the works of Satan, make Your Word manifest,
That the mind can plainly see his days are done!
Bring him to the cross where his end is there addrest,
And the victory has been granted....to Your Son.

I feel that there is nothing more powerful than to pray the word, for it gives one a firm foundation upon which to stand and to resist the enemy. This poem was given birth because of what the Word has done for me. God sent His Word and healed me of cancer, and has delivered me from many fears! I love Psalm 107 verses 20-22! He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Oh that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and DECLARE HIS WORKS with REJOICING. God’s word is very powerful and He wants us to trust in Him and not to lean on our own understanding. Did you know that for this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil? (1 John 3:8) Hebrews 2:14—that THROUGH DEATH He might DESTROY HIM who had THE POWER of DEATH, that is, THE DEVIL, (15) and to release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Colossians 3:14—having WIPED OUT the handwriting of REQUIREMENTS that was AGAINST US, which was CONTRARY TO US. And He has TAKEN IT OUT OF THE WAY, HAVING NAILED IT TO THE CROSS. (15) HAVING DISARMED PRINCIPALITIES and POWERS, He made A PUBLIC SPECTACLE of THEM, TRIUMPHING over THEM IN IT.

Satan is the father of lies and he does not want us to really UNDERSTAND these things, because his power is in his lies. Remember in the gospel of Matthew where the devil took Jesus upon an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world? Saying to Him, “All these things I WILL GIVE YOU if You will fall down and worship me.” It is interesting to note that Jesus did not call him a liar, even though he was telling a lie! Instead Jesus just simply replied, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God; and Him only you shall serve.” (Matthew 4:8-10)

If we refer to the second Psalm we will clearly see that the kingdoms never belonged to Satan to give anyway. Psalm 2:7—You are My Son, today I have begotten You, (8) ASK OF ME and I WILL GIVE YOU the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession.

This was one of the most important lessons that King Nebuchadnezzar was ever going to have to learn. The account of this is found in Daniel 4:13—(King Nebuchadnezzar) I saw in the visions of my head while on my bed, and there was a watcher, A HOLY ONE, coming down from heaven. (14) He cried aloud and said thus: “Chop down the tree and cut off its branches. Strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the beasts get out from under it, and the birds from its branches. (15) Nevertheless leave the stump and roots in the earth, bound with a band of IRON and BRONZE, in the tender grass of the field. (Isaiah 45:2—I will go before you and make the crooked places STRAIGHT; I will break in pieces THE GATES OF BRONZE and CUT THE BARS of IRON. (3) I will GIVE YOU the TREASURES of DARKNESS and HIDDEN RICHES of SECRET PLACES, that you MAY KNOW that I the Lord, who call you by your name AM the GOD of ISRAEL.) Returning to Daniel 4:15—Nevertheless leave THE STUMP and ROOTS in the earth, bound with a band of IRON and BRONZE, in the tender grass of the field. Let it be WET WITH THE DEW OF HEAVEN, and let him graze with THE BEASTS on the grass of the earth. (16) Let HIS HEART be CHANGED from THAT OF a MAN, let him be given THE HEART of an ANIMAL, and let SEVEN TIMES pass over him. (17) This decision is by THE DECREE of THE WATCHERS, and the sentence BY THE WORD of the HOLY ONES, in order that THE LIVING MAY KNOW THAT THE MOST HIGH RULES IN THE KINGDOM OF MEN. GIVES IT TO WHOMEVER HE WILL, and sets over it the lowest of men.

Daniel 4: 30—The king spoke, saying, “Is not this great Babylon, THAT I HAVE BUILT for a royal dwelling BY MY MIGHTY POWER and for the honor of my majesty? (31) While the word was still in the king’s mouth, a voice fell from heaven: King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: the kingdom has departed from you! (32) And they shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. They shall make you eat GRASS like oxen; and SEVEN TIMES shall pass over you, UNTIL YOU KNOW that THE MOST HIGH RULES in THE KINGDOM OF MEN, and GIVES IT TO WHOMEVER HE CHOOSES.” (So you see it was never in Satan’s power to give away the kingdoms in the first place!) (33) That very hour the word was fulfilled concerning Nebuchadnezzar; he was driven from men and ate grass like oxen; HIS BODY was WET WITH THE DEW OF HEAVEN (Deut. 32:2—Let MY TEACHING drop as THE RAIN, MY SPEECH distill as THE DEW, as raindrops on the tender herb, and as SHOWERS on THE GRASS.) (Isaiah 40:6—ALL flesh is GRASS.) Returning to Daniel 4:33—His body was wet with the dew from heaven till his hair had grown like eagles’ feathers and his nails like claws. (34) And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and MY UNDERSTANDING RETURNED to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever. For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and HIS KINGDOM is FROM GENERATION to GENERATION. Psalm 50:20—Man who is IN HONOR, yet DOES NOT UNDERSTAND, is LIKE THE BEASTS that PERISH.

Daniel 5:18—“O king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father a kingdom and majesty, glory and honor. (19) And because of THE MAJESTY that He gave him, ALL PEOPLES, NATIONS, and LANGUAGES trembled and feared before him. Whomever he wished, he executed; whomever he wished HE SET UP; and whomever he wished, HE PUT DOWN. (20) “But when HIS HEART was LIFTED UP, and HIS SPIRIT was HARDENED in PRIDE, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took HIS GLORY from him. (21) “Then he was driven from the sons of men, HIS HEART was MADE LIKE the BEASTS, and his DWELLING was WITH the WILD DONKEYS. They fed him grass like oxen, and his body was WET WITH THE DEW of HEAVEN, TILL HE KNEW THAT THE MOST HIGH GOD RULES IN THE KINGDOM OF MEN, AND APPOINTS OVER IT WHOMEVER HE CHOOSES.

God created the world not Satan. The world may be held under his sway, but it certainly does not belong to him! (1 John 5:19) Satan does not want us to know that, “THE EARTH IS THE LORD’S, and all its fullness, THE WORLD AND THOSE who DWELL THEREIN. (Psalm 24:1-2) In the fifth Chapter of 1 Peter we are told, “The devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (9) Resist him, STEADFAST IN THE FAITH.” What better way to resist him then by standing firmly on the Word of God? Ironically enough, the ROARING LION has to flee at the sight of HIS LAMB!

1 Chronicles 29:10—“Blessed are You, Lord God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever. (11) YOURS, O Lord, IS THE GREATNESS, THE POWER, and THE GLORY, THE VICTORY and THE MAJESTY; FOR ALL THAT IS IN HEAVEN and IN EARTH IS YOURS; YOURS IS THE KINGDOM, O LORD, AND YOU ARE EXALTED AS HEAD OVER ALL. AMEN
