What Made Me Want To Be A Writer

One day my parents were married
Then one day they were no more
Writing became a way to express my sadness
I had many feelings to get out and explore

I kept journals left and right
That I wrote in day and night

Writing was kind of a release
And gave me much inner peace

Even when the hurt went away
My love for writing surley did stay

My subject matter changed over time
and even went astray
Writing about erotica and sinful play
But now that I am saved
I write in a different way
Knowing God loves and blesses me
Each and every day
