He gave His disciples power and authority,
For proclaiming the Gospel with diversity;
To ward off devils and to heal the ailing,
As preaching the Word that is never failing;
Nothing was taken with them in the travels,
No bread or money only their own morals;
Whatever house they entered they abided,
Giving their testimony those who resided;
Whoever refused to be hospitable to meet,
As they left shook the dust off their feet.
As Disciples of Christ we are to reach out,
To those we meet that might have a doubt;
It's up to us for spreading truth and light,
For everyone in a need of spiritual insight;
This is never a choice rather commitment,
Being a Christian is part of the agreement;
Spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ,
Purpose of a cross and being in sacrificed;
Reaching outward and caring to console,
With the desires of saving another soul.
