What is life after death? I am sure we all ponder on this at some point or the other in life.
How will heaven look like? Will we too float on the clouds and be able to look down into earth and hover around the people we love.
Would we then have the liberty to sit besides them in an invisible stance and look fondly at them, gently caressing their hair and kissing their forehead.

What were the thoughts predominant in God's mind when he created the Universe with His loving hands? What was the vision that he had in front of him as He set about to create each and every thing with infinte care and finally he created man and woman in His own likeness and image.
The Book of Genesis gives a beautiful description of the Creation story right from the first day to the sixth day with God having rested on the seventh day.

What was Jesus thinking when He hung on the Cross in total agony? Surely they were thoughts of supreme love even in the face of rejection and despair.
We read in Iasiah 55:8-9;" My thoughts are not your thoughts neither are your ways my ways." Again Jeremiah 29:11 says; "I know the plans that I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you."
God who feeds the sparrows on a daily basis and takes care of them, how much more will he not do for us his beloved children. As we know even the hairs on our head are all counted. We are in his thoughts day and night. We cannot slip away from his thoughts ever.
Truly God's idea of saving the whole human race with the sacrifice of Christ was an exemplary one, unthinkable and difficult on human part but thinkable and possible on God's part.

In Luke 7:11-17, when Jesus was passing through the town of Nain; he saw a widow weeping uncontrollably whose only son had died. Christ guessed the thoughts that were rushing in her head and how her heart was shattered as her only offspring and comfort of her old agae was no more. Jesus felt pity and compassion for this widow and raised her son back to life.
Similarly when Peter tries to deter Jesus from choosing the way of the Cross, the Lord immediately realises what is going on in Peter's head and he tells him to get behind him as this was the reason He had come on earth to drink from te cup of suffering.
In another incident when the Lord asks Peter who did he think he was, Peter replies that Jesus is the Son of God. The Lord then tells him that it was not flesh and blood that revealed this to him but the Spirit of God.
Yes it is always the spirit of God that opens our thoughts and clears our foggy vision enabling us to think as Jesus would do so.
In life we should always stand with the one who is standing alone as this is the choice Jesus would have opted for having true compassion for the lonely and dejected.

In the second book of Samuel, 12:1, we see how when King David takes Bathsheba to himself, the Lord sends the prophet Nathan to open the King's eye.
Nathan recounts to King David through a hidden parable on how there were two men, one rich and the other poor. While the rich man had herds and flocks of animals, the poor man had just one lamb whom he loved and cared for deeply. Now once when a traveller visited that place, the rich man instead of using an animal from his own flock chose to take the poor man's lamb and sacrifice it for the traveller's food.
King David on hearing this was enraged and spoke out that the rich man ought to be pulled up and the poor man's lamb had to be restored with many more.
But Prophet Nathan points out to David that he is the rich man in the story. It then dawns on David as to the atrocity he had commited on his general Uriah and he repents and turns to the Lord for forgiveness.
Psalsm 51 written by him is a beautiful prayer where King David seeks the mercy of God.
It was thus essential for Prophet Nathan to delve into the thoughts of King David and make them transparent to him in order to make him realise his guilt.

When two people are in deep love they wonder if the heartbeats they hear are from the sound of their own heart or the other's heart.
Each one wants to know what the other is thinking or feeling. They are always eager to share their emotions with one another.
When they are on the same wavelength, it is a telepathy of the love that they share. They can then read each other's thoughts in a lovely union of minds.

A famous Philosopher once said; "Talk to yourself at least once in a Day. Otherwise you may miss a meeting with an EXCELLENT person in this world."
Well said! Our thoughts are the most important ones because what we feel deep inside us is what we are going to eventually emote to the world. We may seem like a mystery to others who keep trying to unlock the key to our mind.

In today's high technology world, with satellites and cameras all around, people can keep tracks on the movements of others, countries spy on one another. But can they keep track on the thoughts that are going on in a person's mind.
These thoughts cannot be captured on any camera. What is hidden is most fascinating and sought after.

I recently overhead a loud conversation on a long travel which one could not avoid listening to considering the person seemed to speaking more to the general public than to her friend at her side. This girl was lamenting on how she had recently suffered a train accident and subsequent surgery and went on to add that she told God that He could keep on testing her as much as he wanted to and she was not scared at all.
In my mind, I felt she had got it all wrong. In the first place she should have been thanking God that the accident had not taken her life and God had still kept her alive and standing. It could have turned into something far worse but God had spared her any fatal disaster.
Also she ought to have praised God for this blessing of a new life instead of thinking that God was testing her.

I think we all go through such situations in life where our first reaction is why did God allow this to happen to me.
If we reflect deeper, we will surely understand that there was a blessing secretly enclosed even in that painful situation.
Our thoughts have to be on a higher wavelength keeping God's sacrifical love for us in mind. We should always think positively and never let negative or weak thoughts influence us.

May we always direct our thoughts with the inspiration and guidance of the Word of God to help us live a spiritual life on this earth until the day we are thought worthy to attend the wedding feast in heaven where God's every single thought about us will be made known to us.
