The Word for Writers

At times...our lofty thoughts ascend
BEYOND the Milky Way;
They threaten...to invade the realm
Where Heaven's Angels play!

The sun and moon...the stars and sky
Are at our fingertips;
Imaginations soar away
On our 'celestial trips!'

Our minds are clear...yet questions form
About Creation's plan:
Is Earth the ONLY place with LIFE?
(With creatures, plants and MAN.)
Do OTHER beings...wonder, too?
(If THEY'RE alone 'out there.)
Or do THEY feel....'WE aliens'
Are lurking EVERYWHERE!

Sometimes...our thoughts...climb out of reach;
The borderlines they cross
Begin to build a mystery
And leave us at a loss!
I'D rather dwell...on things I KNOW,
(NOT what I SPECULATE!)
These questions 'without answers'...
Just confuse....and IRRITATE!
