Jesus said, “But seek first the kingdom [basileia] of God and
His righteousness...” (Mat 6:33)
This is a governmental proclamation
The TRUTH is cemented in the WORD of GOD—
The Greek word dikaiosyne (righteousness) in the
Original Greek language in the days of Jesus was a political term!
It meant state law—it described the constitution,
i.e the law a country gave itself or the law(s) that God gave
“In its simplest sense dikaiosyne conveys
the idea of conformity to a standard or norm.”
We must have right STANDING with the Authority of Heaven
Jesus represents the GOVERNMENT of HEAVEN
He is the AUTHORITY from HEAVEN
HE is the POWER from HEAVEN
Basileia (kingdom) is used 164 times in the New Testament—
Over 100 times by our Lord Jesus the Christ
In Matthew chapter 16 Jesus asked a political question
Today that question is still asked because HE is the KING
‘My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips” Psalm 89:34
We must search out HIS LAWS
We must abide by Kingdom Principles
