In the garden He prayed
While the others...grown weary
Closed their eyes
And in slumber reposed.
After all, He was God, the invincible One,
He could NEVER be harmed....they supposed.

The betrayer was near
With his kiss to deliver
The Son of God, up to His foes;
While the others all slept, and His enemies gathered,
Deeper into the garden He goes.

There He went so much farther than I would have gone
To save the rejectors of love.
If it had been ME, I'D have taken the offer
Of the angelic help from Above.

Yes, He went so much farther than I would have gone,
I would BEG for the help from Above.
But...you see....
I'M a human....
And limited in
The capacity I have
To LOVE!
