Climbing the stairs toward your dreams
will bring trials along the way
But knowing we have a caring God
makes it worthwhile to face each day

For with each step it proves your faith
it helps move the doubts and fears
So whatever you encounter, it's ok
God promised to wipe your tears

Wear your goals, as a gleaming diamond
let them be shielded in your heart
Even when times it gets dark and dreary
keep a firm grip so they won't depart

Take pride in your accomplishments with open joy
for what workman doesn't earn a good pay
When they put all they had into the project
and once revealed then others will say

That a jewel has been made for this generation
with a spark of life, to lead and direct
and God's grace upon you will lighten the load
so you'll be precise in decisions you project

As your dreams unfold hold onto the prize
it awaits you at the top of the stairs
Be prayerful in your walk and have a open mind
and your stars will come falling in pairs
