WITHOUT EXCUSE

"If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." (Joshua 24:15)

We serve a marvelous God. Who merely by His spoken word, created the entire universe and all that's in it, in just six days (Genesis 1:31) (Genesis 4:1) (Genesis 2:1).

Then looking ahead, gave a seventh day for mankind's rest (Genesis 2:2-3). He simply ceased or desisted from His work. No weariness is implied. The Hebrew word is "Sabbath", the name of the day which later was given to Israel as a time of cessation from normal activities ( Exodus 16:29) Exodus 20:10-11) (Deuteronomy 5:15) (Jeremiah 17:21) (Amos 8:5). Now, however, as a result of Jesus' resurrection, our day of rest is the first day of the week (Matthew 28:1).

I realize, you may not feel the way I do, with respect to the awesome power of our living God (Jeremiah 10:12). If you choose to ignore God's free grace (Ephesians 2:8-9), over your life and the blessings that this freedom entails, what more can I say( Matthew 10:14-15). Moving on ! (2 Cor 13:4) !

You see, it is essential that the service of God's people be performed with a willing mind (John 7:17). For LOVE is the only genuine principle whence all acceptable service of God can spring. The Father seeks only such to worship him, as worship him in spirit and in truth. The carnal mind of man is enmity against God (1 Cor 1:18), therefore, is not capable of such spiritual worship. Hence the necessity of being born again.

So, whether as a mere human, you believe in God or not doesn't make Him any more unlikely not to be the living God of the universe. For God is a living Spirit and we all must worship Him in spirit (John 14:24).

You see, no one is without excuse. The things that are made (creation) reveal to all mankind the power and divine nature of the true living God, so that the rejection of this truth makes one without excuse before God (Romans 1:20).

In conclusion, the entire creation, and the affirmative of God, is wrapped around the gospel (Romans 1:16). For the gospel the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16). It is this salvation that gives freedom from the penalties of sin (Luke 7:50), keeps us from the power of sin (Romans 5:10), and it keeps us from the presence of sin (1 Cor 3:15).

And how is this salvation received ? Simply put, salvation comes to everyone who believes (Acts 16:30-31) (John 3:36). We receive and experience it through faith (Hebrews 11:1,6), which is both assent to the truths of the full gospel (1 Cor 15:1-4), and genuine confidence in the Savior Himself. For there's no other way (John 14:6) (Acts 4:12).

Yes, we all are without excuse. As not some of us, but “all of us.” Our judge will be Christ. It is God's judgment too (Romans 14:10–12). We must all stand before the judgment seat of God, as God “has given Christ authority to execute judgment” (John 5:27). What line will you stand in.

Look around you and see how vast this universe is that God has made. God is truly all powerful. The power of God is amazing and it has always been a wonder for me. I often look at the clouds and the sky and am just amazed by God’s power. The Bible gives some great descriptions and verses about God’s great power
