It did not seem like something God would do, or even approve.  It was, however, God's design for the Nation of Israel because they refused to repent; therefore, Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon  was to become their Ruler. Jeremiah 27: 5 - 15

Paul tells us that the First, or Old Testament is written for us to read and understand how God deals with people.

For America, in this upcoming election, it is for us, as those who adhere to God and His principles, to pray earnestly, to be certain to vote, and then to accept the results of the election as being from God Himself.

It is also true that oftentimes what looks like a curse is really a blessing.  We simply must trust in God to do as He says that He does,  "Be in charge of the affairs of the Nations."

There is talk of physical dissent and uprisings, trouble in the streets, and these things are contrary to God's design for His people.  Any thinking, Bible reading, Bible believing person knows that God is a God of order.

We can have order, and the Leader chosen by God, by simply repenting, asking God for forgiveness of our lethargy and removing the despicable acts of sin from our own lives as well as our agreement that those things are okay for others.  We must in "all things" agree with God!

Pray and Vote, and leave the rest to God may seem too simplistic, but it is the instruction of the Scriptures to us to trust God  in all things as we bare our hearts to Him.

We must make no mistake, this is a serious time in our National history.  The Lord will be merciful, that is His nature, but what does "mercy" look like?
