Matthew: 6:33- “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”.

Every morning we get up, our mind sometimes doesn’t give us the time to thank God and cast all our cares on Him. All that we can think of is the busy schedule that is ahead of us at work, getting the chores done for today etc…Instead of being thankful for a new day we become so grumpy. We forget to thank the Almighty God who governs our steps and gives us wisdom, favor and strength to get through all the tasks ahead of us for each day. Isn’t seeking God’s Kingdom first, suppose to be on our No. 1 priority?

“Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you”, to be our No 1 task for the day. Abraham’s servant was assigned to find a wife for his master’s son. Abraham’s servant didn’t know how he was going to get this done but he sought the Lord’s face first before he could take that journey. The Lord made everything so easy for him, he could find Rebekah for Issac. Just a small prayer before his journey made a huge difference for him. The Lord worked it out for him. Another person who inspires me is Esther, when she was told the Jews are to be killed, her heart was so weary but she made it a priority to seek the Lord’s face before she could speak to the King. The Lord gave her favor before the King and through her, the Jews were saved from being killed. Abraham, Joseph, Daniel, David, Solomon and the list goes on, they sought the Lord’s face first in their lives and in return God blessed them with favor, riches, high position in life etc…

Dear friend, the Lord is the first person that we should be looking up to when we start our day. When we are in His presence, let us make it a point to cast all our cares and burdens on Him for He careth for us. Our schedule for the day or the chores for the day or whatever difficulties we are facing will be sorted out by the Lord for us. He’s a God who makes roads through the wilderness and streams through the dessert. He will be with us all throughout our day, weeks , months and years. Encourage you to seek His face first before your start your day. ” His mercies never come to an end, they are new every morning” – Lamentations: 3: 22- 23.

Dear Heavenly Abba Father,

We come before Your presence with thankfulness in our heart and praises in our mouth for all that You have done for us. Lord, as we start our day, we pray that Your presence will go before us and take care of everything for us. Lord, we cast all our burdens at Your feet. Be with us and lead us. In Jesus Christ name. Amen.

Lovely article. Very encouraging. As we give God first place in our lives, He goes before us to make all crooked paths straight. Thanks for sharing.
