The Fruit of Peace

Gal 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Praised the Lord, beloved!!

Peace is described as ...
- A state of tranquility, quiet, and harmony. For instance, a state free from civil disturbance.
- A state free of oppressive and unpleasant thoughts and emotions.
- Harmony in personal relations.
- A state free of war, in particular war between different countries.

However, the Peace of God to you is more than the absence of war, but the dealing with our inner conflict of separation which defile both our relationship / fellowship with God and neighbour.

The Peace that is in the heart is what overflows to our neighbour. We receive peace and give peace as a fruit in our spirit.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Mt 5:9

Fruits are desired in every area of life to bring in fulfillment, satisfaction and succession. A fruit is ...
- The seed-bearing part of a plant, edible, colourful and fragrant
- An end result, effect, or consequence; advantageous or advantageous result.
- To produce fruit.

Jesus says I have chosen you to bear good fruit ...karpos..gk, and let the fruit remain when they bear.

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. Jn 15:16

Fruit bearing beloved depends on its source, and the source of our fruit is from the Spirit of Christ who has become one with our spirit. One of such fruits from Christ's Spirit is the fruit of peace.

This fruit of Peace ...eirene..gk, or ...shalom...hb, means ...set at one, ....one, ...peace, ...quietness, ...rest, ...safe, ...health, ...prosperity. In other words, the fruit of peace makes you to prosper and dwell in safety and health.

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 Jn 1:2

This because you have been set at one again with God being justified by the shedding of Jesus' blood on the cross and His resurrection.

Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. Rom 4:25
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Rom 5:1

The Peace that is bearing in your heart overflows to our neighbour to bring them also to be set at one again with you and Jesus. We must receive peace and give out peace and all will be in safety.

Peace is a fruit of the spirit and a believer necessarily must bear it because it is in the DNA of the recreated spirit.

Peace therefore grows in our heart by our continous abiding in the Word or by the relationship we maintain with the Word, Jesus Christ and the atmosphere produced by that relationship builds up peace which then flows to our sphere of contact.

The Word of God by its nature will deliver you from every inner conflict and produce peace, the quietness, to you and neighbor.

It is only the fruit of peace bearing among us will guarantee a state free of oppressive and unpleasant thoughts and emotions as well as Harmony in personal relations.

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Heb 12:14

Will Jesus find your fruit of peace edible, colourful and fragrant?

Beloved let the fruit of peace bear.
