REVELATION CHAPTER ONE

REVELATION: WHAT IS IT?
The Revelation of Jesus Christ which God gave unto him, to show unto his servant things which must shortly come to pass and he sent and signified it by his Angel unto, his servant John: (Revelation 1: 1)
Isn't that exciting? The word "Revelation" means simply, to remove the cover. How is it that I hear people say that Revelation is hard to understand? To remove the cover means to make it understandable. So why do some say that Revelation is hard to understand? Maybe it's because they are listening to people who, don't want to understand.

Some seem to think that we, need some kind of code or theory' by which to understand this marvelous book. That means, then, that only a few have the mean.s by which to do so. That's bad news but Revelation is part of the good news concerning Jesus Christ. The good news is that God has removed the covering and made understanding possible. It is the theories and systems applied to the Scripture that make understanding difficult,

When we understand, that places responsibility upon us to act properly. God's intention is that we understand clearly and He promises blessing to those who read it, understand it, and claim its promises. So the very first verse proclaims that God has spoken and has spoken clearly and wants us to understand the message in order that others may know about it is well.

Whenever someone tells you that Revelation is hard to understand and controversial tell them” that's impossible. It is the book that uncovers not a book that conceals information that we need to know.” It is Revelation. Its purpose is to reveal.
