The word “Revelation” means “to remove the cover”. Its purpose is to create understanding. How is it then, that people say that Revelation is hard to understand? Did God intend it to be that way? When we try to understand prophecy by using pre-conceived theories then it is these theories that make God’s word difficult to understand.
If understanding prophecy is dependent on using man-made codes, then that is bad news. The word of God is Good News. So when someone tries to tell you that Revelation is hard to understand and controversial, tell them “that’s impossible ;it is the book that uncovers not a book that conceals information. It is a book that reveals. That’s what Revelation means
