THE LITTLE G'S VERSES THE ONE BIG G

"You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,"(Exodus 20:4-5)

There are many little g's, coming to us in a variety of real and imaginary formations (Deuteronomy 7:4-5). And these false, or ungodly compositions may take on any number of physical or hallucinating developments. Some of these little gods include, materialism, sports, money, fame, popularity, wealth, sex, recognition, power, praise, ego's, worshiping another human, and the list goes on.

And the most famous, of all the small gods is "self" . So popular, however, that it takes on many names; the inner man, the old man, the carnal man, and probably the most popular of all is "the flesh". Whatever one calls it, this false god of self is the most sinful, destructive, and a god being controlled by another human being.

Therefore, you see, anything that may hinder one from true "praise and Worship of the one true God, is defiantly a little god.

Being called a little god, may be a misnomer, as any of these gods, can and will , become big in one's life, if given the opportunity. Therefore, what is your little god (s) ? How are they effecting your life style ? Are they dictating or ruling your very existence ?

The one big "G" , the all powerful (Revelation 19:6), the only living true master of the universe (Psalm 19:1), and Father of all creations design (Romans 1:18-20), stands alone, in the hearts of mankind, as the Father of all believers (Gal 3:26).

This big "G" , our living God, has no beginning and will have no end (Exodus 3:14). He was, is and is to come (Revelation 1:8). The Bible's first mention of Father God, is regarding the creation (Genesis 1:1). However, this is not the beginning of eternity, as the creation of the world just marks the first break in the past endless eternity. The last mention of Father God is given by God, the Son, in the Bibles closing benediction ( Revelation 22:20-21). And this too is not the end of eternity (James 1:17).

Now that we have distinguished the difference between the one true God, and the many false gods, let us move on. How does one convert to the one and only true God ?

First, a bit of human history. From the very moment of mankind's creation, through God's eternal plan of giving mankind a free will to choose right from wrong, our first parents disobeyed God's sovereign will (Genesis 3:1-7). Now, all mankind is born of sin, due to this inherited inbreed sin nature (Romans 3:23).However, God has made a way to escape this sin nature (Romans 5:8) by excepting His rightness (Titus 3:5-7).

Now, in this present day, what then does one need to do, to be redeemed by God ? First of all, God’s ultimate purpose is to bring himself glory; for there is no one else worthy (Psalm 96:1-9). Secondly, our heavenly Father, the only true eternal living God, will not share His worship with another (Exodus 20:2).

Therefore, the Bible teaches that no amount of human goodness, human works, human morality, or religious activity can gain acceptance with God or get anyone into heaven, as we all have fallen short of God’s perfect righteousness (Romans 1:18) Romans 3:8-10).

In other words, , we must all except God's free grace by our faith. You see, we can never be good enough, pay enough money, or received help from our godly family and friends, to receive God's forgiveness (Ephesians 2:8-9) .

Now, won't will you agree to give up those little "gods" for the one true big living "God" (Romans 3:24) ? If not, why not ?

Satan himself, is the author of mass confusing, including imitating good for evil, as he now rules this present world (Ephesians 6:12). He will even substitute a false image, for the real God (2 Cor 11:13-15). He is so good, in his camouflage, that Jesus said even his followers would be fooled (Mark 13:22). In fact, many of Satan's names are also the names of many of the false gods and idols.
