Women
Sometimes
Sometimes we just need two arms to cling to
A strong shoulder to lean on
A hand to hold
And we miss it when it’s been withdrawn
Is it better to never know it
Than to have had and then be alone
How lonely it gets when you
Realize what has gone
A woman needs the strength of a man
Along with his tenderness
She craves his company
More than she is able to express
Sometimes we need someone by our side
Just to share our hopes and dreams
Someone just to be there
Through life’s extremes
We were not created to live alone
But neither were we created to be misused
Why is it something as precious as a relationship
Suffers the most abuse
When our hopes and dreams
Come crashing down
They echo in our thoughts, our hearts
With a thunderous sound
Somehow, fear of being betrayed
And hurt again
Causes us to flee from love
Never allowing the pain to mend
So my friend, if you have a partner
Treasure every moment of the day
Build precious memories
Have something that will not fade away
And men, please understand
Even though we women appear strong for all to see
That what we need the most in life
Is to be treated tenderly
Sometimes, we want to rush things
Only later to regret our haste
But it is here that we are given the ability
To learn from our mistake
Myself, I have grown through my pain
And have come to understand
That what I need the most in a relationship
Is a good, Christian man
But sometimes, I still feel alone
As I rebuild my life each day
I often only survive
Because I am able to pray
But sometimes the flesh is weak
And craves some kind of company
And sometimes the loneliness knows no end
For this is not the way it was meant to be
Yes, sometimes-

This is nice, if we're honest and admit that sometimes the arms of a man are nice...the arms of a man is not something I experience on an intimate level, but I do experience it through the love and tenderness of my nephews, or my dad, or my brother, or perhaps a childhood friend...but the most loving arms I know are my heavenly father, His are the warmest embraces I've ever felt, and though His hands I can't see, and His arms I can't touch, there is no sweeter joy, than a hug from Him. Thank you for a beautiful piece.
