In God alone my feet lie planted,
For on His rock I firmly stand,
When all around my world is shaken
And nothing goes as I had planned.

In God alone I rest my future
When all seems hopeless, dark, and bleak,
For He alone knows what will happen,
He's ever strong, but I am weak.

I wander lost, seeking direction,
Answers hidden by despair,
On His promises I'll linger
As I go to Him in prayer.

For He promised us His wisdom
When by life we are consumed,
Stumbling through the days of hardship,
Our next breath is just assumed.

For God alone controls the future,
Plans He's forged for every life,
For this too He knew would happen,
What I view as endless strife.

Through this too His arms will hold me,
Through this too in Him I rest,
Knowing He has gone before me
And He'll see I pass the test.


How long, O Lord, must I call for help? But you do not listen! "Violence is everywhere!" I cry, but you do not come to save. Must I forever see these evil deeds? Why must I watch all this misery? Wherever I look, I see destruction and violence. I am surrounded by people who love to argue and fight. The law has become paralyzed, and there is no justice in the courts. The wicked far outnumber the righteous, so that justice has become perverted.

The Lord replied, "Look around at the nations; look and be amazed! For I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn't believe even if someone told you about it." (Habakkuk 1:2-5 NLT)

Only I can tell the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish. (Isaiah 36:10 NLT)
