How many times in life have we been so sure of the outcome of a meeting only to be left both surprised and spellbound to the way it actually turns out to be.
We may have prepared our hearts and dressed our minds fully aware of what the results will yield only to be faced with a complete U turn for the better of us and to more future glorious times.
Of course, such a miraculous possibility is not due to any achievement on our own but all because God decided to bless us with a super scenario from above much far above our expectations.
To avail of this blessing, what we need to do from our side is to pray just as Jesus did before he set out on any important mission of his right from the time of choosing his own apostles.

We see various such incidents in the bible. Zacchaeus who went all the way to climb a tree in order to see Jesus clearly as he passed by was totally astounded and almost fell off the tree when in turn Jesus gazed up at him and told him that he would dine at his home that night.
Did Zacchaeus predict the outcome of his action? No. But Jesus had already predestined this move for the betterment of Zacchaeus and to bring salvation to his home.
In another incident we see how Abraham filled with faith left with his only son Isaac to sacrifice him on Mount Moriah in obedience to the will of God. He did not question God but willingly submitted to him. However in a complete rebound God spared Isaac's life and asked Abraham to offer the ram in sacrifice instead.
The most profound event in the gospel is when Martha believed with her whole heart that Jesus could bring Lazarus back to life even after he was dead for three days and Jesus returns her brother back to her in a beautiful presentation of her total faith in Him.
Adam, God's first human creation could not believe his eyes and luck when God created woman out of his own rib for Adam to love, cherish and call his very own.
Mary a young virgin when she said her precious Yes in total trust of God's plan was rewarded with the most priceless gift of the Son of God himself.

There is a beautiful saying, "The best feeling in the world is when both your presence and absence means something to someone."
We all know that Jesus had a powerful magnetic presence when he walked on this earth. His presence dominated the universe and towered over everything else. His very command could heal the sick and raise the dead to life.
At the same time his absence also meant a lot to his apostles who missed him so dearly after his death on the cross that they could hardly believe their eyes when the Risen Lord stood in front of them. They had lost hope after his crucifixion and even decided to go back to their former profession of fishing but God had chosen them for a greater mission on earth and after his Resurrection and Ascension into heaven, the Holy Spirit empowered them to complete their mission.
Till this date, Jesus has left a beautiful reminder of himself in the Eucharist so that we can see his never ending glory and believe.

We can never be sure of what tomorrow will bring in our lives and how it will colour our days but of one thing we can be sure is that love will continue to grow every new morn with the rising of the sun just as the love of the Lord magnifies itself with each passing day. This love will keep us safe and lead us to taste new marvellous moments rolled up in our future days just waiting to be unrolled so that we can soak itself in its beautiful glory.

We are in the Holy season of Lent where we can offer up all our afflictions, trials and sufferings as a Lenten offering to the Lord until we behold his glorious risen presence on Easter morning. Yes if we believe we will definitely see the Glory of God in all his splendour and authority.
