Christianity is different from all religions. In fact, it is said to be not a religion at all, but a relationship.

All religions say DO. Christianity says DONE. Religions pretend salvation by works. Christianity says salvation is impossible by works.

Salvation is a free gift, a completely unmerited favor (grace) just for really believing WHO Jesus is, WHY He came and WHAT He says. This is called FAITH. It is in no way a mere intellectual acceptance, but a faith, an acceptance and RESPONSE to the reality of who He is.

For example, if you live in front of the ocean, and the radio announces a tidal wave 300 feet high, imminent within the hour, are you going to accept it intellectually? If you BELIEVE the message, you’ll run like hell.

We are saved by faith in Christ Jesus, by FAITH alone. But the Faith that saves is never alone. It always has works. Works are the evidence of Faith, evidence of the presence of God in your life.

They say, that only a Christian will understand this.
