BY DAY AND BY NIGHT

Exodus 13:12 says
By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.
From the above scripture and many others in the bible we see that God is very conscious about time and expects His children to be productive and fruitful at all times. The bible says that God went ahead of the children of Israel in a pillar of cloud by the day and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so they could travel by day or by night. It is interesting that God did not want them to waste the night. Ordinarily they would have been able to travel by day with the guidance of the pillar of cloud and stay stagnant at night if they couldn’t see as a result of darkness. So the almighty God made a provision for His children so that could travel by day or by night, He made sure they were not operating according to the physical changes that occur in time. God is awesome, for his people, he makes sure they have access to His special grace that can make them fruitful at all times, so that they cannot be not stopped by the weather, by the economy, by the sun, by the moon or anything at all.
In fact this promise is clearly stated in Isaiah 60:20 “Your sun shall no longer go down,
Nor shall your moon withdraw itself; For the LORD will be your everlasting light,
And the days of your mourning shall be ended”.
The Israelites traveling by day and night did not mean that they did not have time to rest, when the pillar stopped the children of Israel would camp and when it moved they would follow. In practice when you walk with the Holy spirit you might find He asks you to wake up in the night and pray while others and sleeping and at his own time he might give you a rest. God can ask you to give from something in which you don’t even have much yourself simply because he wants to bless you. Whenever it seems that God is asking us to do something out of the norm, just be rest assured that just like the pillar of fire that produced light, God has made a provision for it to be possible for you to do it without you suffering a loss.
