God’s Promise Is NOT Slack (2 Peter 3:1-9)

Beloved, I (Peter) now write to YOU (Believers) this Second Epistle (in both of which, I stir up Your Pure Minds, by way of Reminder), that YOU (Believers) may be Mindful of The Words (The Holy Bible), which were Spoken before, by The Holy Prophets, and of The Commandment of Us (Jesus’ Disciples), The Apostles of The Lord and Savior (Jesus Christ), knowing this First: that scoffers (Unbelievers) will come, in The Last Days, walking according to their (Unbelievers) own lusts, and saying, “Where is The Promise of His (Jesus Christ’s) Coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, All Things continue as they were, from The Beginning of Creation.” For this they (Unbelievers) willfully FORGET: that by The Word of God (God Almighty), the Heavens were of Old, and the Earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the World, that then existed, PERISHED, being flooded with water. But the Heavens and the Earth, which are now Preserved, by The Same Word (The Word of God Almighty), are Reserved for FIRE, until The Day of Judgment and Perdition of Ungodly Men (Unbelievers). But, Beloved (Believers), do NOT forget this One Thing, that with The Lord (God Almighty), One Day is as a Thousand Years, and a Thousand Years, as One Day. The Lord (God Almighty) is NOT slack, concerning His (God Almighty’s) Promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward Us (ALL Mankind), NOT willing that ANY should Perish, but that ALL should come to Repentance.

Fellow Believers, The Key Point is found in this statement: “The Lord (God Almighty) is NOT slack, concerning His (God Almighty’s) Promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward Us (ALL Mankind), NOT willing that ANY should Perish, but that ALL should come to Repentance.”

People today, wonder, what is God Almighty waiting for? The World is getting worse, by the minute, yes, the entire World is turning its back on God Almighty and Jesus Christ. Christians (Believers) are being slaughtered by the thousands, on a nearly daily basis. Our Children are being slaughtered on a nearly daily basis. And it seems that the World does NOT even care. The World is erasing His (God Almighty’s) Name and His (God Almighty’s) Son’s (Jesus Christ’s) Name, from anything and everything, including forbidding the mentioning of Their Names (God Almighty and Jesus Christ). Things like, “The Falling Away” and The Persecution of Christians (Believers) are happening, right NOW!

So, what is God Almighty waiting for? Well, He (God Almighty) is waiting patiently, giving EVERYONE, EVERY possible opportunity to Repent, to acknowledge God’s Amazing Saving Grace AND accept God’s Free Gift of Salvation, to accept Jesus Christ as Their (Believers) personal Lord and Savior.

Let’s see, imagine a building with its doors wide open, EVERYONE is welcome to enter, however, they are NOT forced to enter the building. They have the FREEDOM of choice, to enter the building or NOT, and this CHOICE is available to EVERYONE, throughout their Lifetime. Now, when their Life ends (they take their last breath), IF they have NOT entered the building, The Doors slam SHUT, their choice made, and they must deal with the consequences. God Almighty is NOT willing that ANY should Perish, but IF they do, it is by their own choice, NOT His (God Almighty)!

Now, when God Almighty decides, The Son of Man, The ONLY Son of God Almighty, Jesus Christ will Return, in All His Glory. The Day of Judgment will be upon ALL Mankind, and The Doors of the building will slam SHUT. Meaning, for ALL those (Unbelievers), who did NOT accept Jesus Christ, as their personal Lord and Savior, it will be too late to do so, and they will ALL be SEPARATED from God Almighty’s Presence, Forever, for Eternity. This is a fate, I would NOT wish upon ANYONE, and obviously, neither can God Almighty AND Jesus Christ.

Fellow Believers, I pray this explains why The Lord, God Almighty, is longsuffering toward Us (ALL Mankind), because of His (God Almighty) Unconditional LOVE for ALL of Us (ALL Mankind). After all, who would turn down being in God Almighty’s Immediate Presence, with Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit, God Almighty’s Holy Angels, and All the rest of The Children (Believers) of God Almighty, Forever, for Eternity? My answer, NOT me, I have acknowledged God’s Amazing Saving Grace AND accepted God’s Free Gift of Salvation, I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I KNOW, I will be in God Almighty’s Immediate Presence, Forever, for Eternity. The question is, will YOU?
