“Victory In Our Battles”

Scripture: Ephesians 6:13

Long gone are the days when a fight was held between only the two people involved and consisted of one or a combination of: an exchange of words, Vaseline on the face, fists, brass knuckles, nun chucks, hair pulling, a slap, a punch, or a kick in the knees. 21st century fighting is much more advanced, sophisticated and lethal. Satan appears to be keeping up with the times in the level of war he wages in each of our lives. Yet, where do we as Christians stand in our level of preparedness to fight against him? Selah. Know that our commitment to following Christ will make us moving targets for the enemy. While the armor we have at our disposal as Christians may, at first glance, seem antiquated and weak in comparison to the enemy’s arsenal, remember who leads our army. He gives us the power to STAND!

Prayer

Omnipotent God, we put our trust in You. Help us to stand fully clothed with the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the belt of truth, the sword of the spirit and feet shod with the gospel of peace. Give us clarity of thought and precision of speech. Cover us with your most precious blood. When we’re weak, remind us that we are strong. We thank you in advance. We count it all joy and we count it done! In Jesus Name we pray, Amen!
