“Victory In Being ME”

Scripture: Philippians 1:6

Miguel Ruiz, author of The Four Agreements, states: “We have learned to live by other people’s points of view because of the fear of not being accepted and of not being good enough for someone else.” Every person wants to belong and to be accepted by others. In an effort to “fit in”, we sometimes find ourselves changing who we are in order to be accepted by the group, committee or organization. As Christians we belong to God. He accepts us for who we are – just as we are – a work in progress. Take time to celebrate you – the battles you’ve fought and the victories you’ve won. Don’t worry about what others think, feel or say about you! In the end, God’s point of view is the only one that really matters!


Prayer

We give thanks unto You, O God, because we can approach your Your throne, at any time, with freedom and confidence! Father we thank you that we are Your workmanship and our identity is found in You. We are grateful that we were chosen before the foundation of the world; that you adopted us; that you love us and that we belong to You. When we are tempted to worry about what others think or we are afraid of how others see us, God remind us that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind! We are no longer condemned; we are forgiven! We are delivered! We are healed! We are set free! We are overcomers by the Blood of the Lamb! We are Your sons and Your daughters! Hallelujah! We are victorious! In Jesus Name, Amen!
