When I Got Up This Morning


I got up this morning with an ugly kind of feeling. Nothing tragic happened. Everything was the same. I said good morning to God and asked him to please let this be a good day and wondered about today and what kind of problems I’d be dealing with. To re-assure myself, I wrote this poem.

Being a good Christian is the name of the game.
Lord, let me follow you in my own unique way.
If I do not measure up, let me take the blame.
As long as I am living in your love, everything is okay.
No matter how I feel, I must honorably do my part.
Every moment is a treasured new start.

So I drank my cup of coffee just to get started on time and I promised the Father, I’d be the writer He had in mind. There is no better feeling you can find. Any words that I write are written for him…to show people, he cares for and always loves them.

The evil one is always around to discourage and confuse you even before you start anything you’re trying to do. I know this. So I drank that cup of coffee with all this in mind and remembered the promises given to mankind.

For God in his glory remembers. God is not blind.
Each new day he gives us a reason to be living
We just have to remember the moment and the season.

The season is Love and the future is Heaven above.
What we do today guides us to our Destiny and Destiny’s name is God, the Father we all love.
