There is a pretty cool popular adage going around that says "the only way to win is to not play their game". this quote is usually applied in a geopolitical sense, but I wonder if it doesn't have much deeper roots that can apply in a spiritual and social sense.
There seems to be this unspoken set of rules that we all seem to adhere to in this game of life.

I think it's great that we have rules to live by, and the greatest set of rules that we have are written down in the Bible.

What is not so great,however is this set of rules that we live by that nobody has the honesty or chutzpah to actually write down.

Well, here's my attempt in that endeavor:
( And these rules ,unfortunately seem to apply across ALL groups of people).

Rule #1:

Image is EVERYTHING.

Rule # 2 :

ME ME ME!

Rule # 3 :

"what is in it for ME?"

Rule # 4 :

How can I acchieve rules #2 and #3 without effecting
#1? (pun intended)

rule # 5 :
How can I get You what You want?, so you can give it to ME!

I could expound greatly on each of these rules, but probably shouldn't here.

I am talking about something that even cuts much deeper than this silent unspoken acceptable business world " quid pro quo" gaming system that I personally have never been comfortably able to play.

I think that in many ways the now systemic nature of this fact speaks to the heart of many of the REAL problems in this world .

I think ,Jesus knowing our nature as being as such , that THIS is why he said
" love thy neighbor as you love thyself."
(we must be MASSIVELY failing at THIS! )

The fact that I've never been able to truly "love" thyself in the aforementioned way is probably why I personally have always struggled with this idea, and it's probably why I have always felt like an outside observer to a 'game " I have never wanted to play.

Of course, maybe it's all just "ME'S" PROBLEM.
