Introspection on a phoney/humanizing perspective -dj eckert


Could that be YOU Lord talking to me ?.....
When a beloved baubly buddy becomes separated from me.
As I search in a panic for that
Stupid lost thing......
My convicted conscience tells me that God's probably reminding me that HE is THE King!

I know.... I'll go back to the house and give him a call, but oh no! with the state he's in , I won't hear back from him at all!

Oh Lord , I know ...I love this thing a little too much, but now I'm gonna be late for work!....even if I rush.

The conviction rages on, as I frantically search my ride, I'm sure I'm failing Gods test....but hey! I need my little pal.... it's....... ( I'm convicted ! ) ......the friend I seem to love best.

In idle, idol desperation , I close my eyes,look.upward and frustratingly say "Lord, I'm getting your message, but why are you doing this to me today of all days ?"
I open my eyes, cast them downward one last time to the floor behind the front seat......
and there lies my little buddy all condemning yet sweet.

What a loving , soft touched FATHER showing me things he can't condone!
And the THING that I must work on, is the love I have for my phone.

Now you could say maybe, I make way too much of this "thing".....
Or you could say maybe, God is saying the very same thing.

Maybe it's a matter of perspective
