Who carry us when we bend so low,
Who brace's us for the trial ahead
Who holds us up when things go wrong
Who gives us our daily bread

Who is it that goes before us
to make each crooked path straight
Who mends our sorrows and broken hearts
Who always keeps every date

Who lifts the burdens off our shoulders
when they bend us over at times
Who preserves us, when the tests come
Who keeps us in our right minds

Who watches us when the traps are set
by forces that try to pull us down
Who stirs us through, thorns and thistles
Who's presence is always around

Well here's the answer to these questions
it's the tower of strength on our side
And his name is Jesus, a friend when in trouble
and in him we can run and hide
