HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN

Have you ever wondered about the future, as it pertains to the unknowns of the scripture. Namely, how can one make it to heaven ? Well, in this particular portion of scripture, Jesus gives us a lot to think about.

In view of His going away, Jesus gave His disciples certain encouragements, in this fourteenth chapter of John. Including a promise of a place to live (John 14:2), a promise to return for them (John 14:3), the prospect of doing greater works (John 14:12), the promises of answered prayer (John 14:14),  the coming of the Holy Spirit (John 14:16),and the legacy of peace (John 14:27)

Now to home in on the first six verses of this chapter. In (John 14:1) we see Jesus as a " PERSON". In (John 14:3) Jesus gives us a "CERTAIN PLACE". In John 14:4) Jesus gives us a "PROMISE".  And in John 14:6), Jesus gives us the "PLAN".    

One of the most important phrases in this chapter (John 14:3) is the promise of the personal return of Christ. And that we, who name the name of Christ, will forever be with Him (1 Thess 4:13-18).

Another very important promise is that Christ will send us a helper. This helper is none other than God's Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will indwell Christians (John 14:16-17).

An additionally the Holy Spirit will help recall events of Christ's life (John 14:26); will convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:7-11); and will teach believers the truth (John 15:26) (John 16:13-15).

So, Why is Jesus the only way? Because Jesus said that He was the only way (John 14:6). I understand just because someone says he is the only way, doesn't mean he is. But, just look at the life of Jesus. Look at His accomplishments and  His miracles. And His death and resurrection (1 Cor 15:1-4). None of these super natural God given traits have ever been repeated.

He made extraordinary claims and performed extraordinary deeds.  Therefore, it is logical to conclude that what Jesus said was true--especially since He claimed to be God (John 8:24, 58) (John 10:30-33) (John 5:18).

Now, I trust you see the importance of this particular passage of scripture, to the believer. It is the hope and truth of an eternal life with Jesus forever.

Author's Post Script.

In today's socially correct environment, one need not search far to see the various of opinion, as to one's way to heaven. And if not careful, any number of these philosophical mindsets may tend to influence this otherwise true doctrine, of Christ being the only way to the Father God, and too heaven.

However, by logic and by documentation, there are no other paths other than Christianity,  with 100% certainty that a person can make it to heaven.  All other world religions outside of Christianity can offer no assurance of gaining  entrance into heaven, as they are based upon works or good deeds, and their followers can never be sure that they have done enough works to enter heaven or the presence of God (Ephesians 2:8-9). And the vast majority of religions, other than Christianity, offer no forgiveness of bad deeds, morality, or evil works (1 John 1:9).  Christianity alone offers the  guarantee of  heaven and it is made possible by God, only through Jesus Christ, as the only guarantee.
 
You see, Jesus made it very clear that the way to the Father and ultimately the way to eternal life in heaven is through a relationship of faith in Him. The rest of the New Testament affirms this over and over again. (Romans 10:9) (John 3:18)  (John 14:6)  (John 3:16) (John 17:3) ( John 3:13-15) (Acts 4:12) (Acts 16:30-31)( Romans 10:9-11)(Hebrews 9:11-12, 14-15) Ephesians 4:11) (1 Thess 2:5-6) (1 Thess 5:9-10) (1 John 2:23)

ITS YOUR  CALL-BELOVED !

Have you decided how you will respond to his call to "follow me." He declared that He alone is "the way, the truth, and the life -- no one can come to the Father, except through Me." (John 14:6) So, will you take the next step now? Will you trust Him to be your Lord and Savior?

Just simply do what He  asks you to do, believe on Him. Will you  honestly confess your sins to Him and to receive His complete forgiveness. He has a special gift that He wants to give you -- eternal life.
