PLEA NOT TO BE PERFECT

I stare in the mirror every morning
Wondering why I am not perfect
Why am I not successful as others
around me?

I make mistakes every day
Trying to be perfect along the way
Even my best not being good enough
I wonder what my life is really worth

In my search for being me I plead
Please love me for me
I am not perfect, I may not always be
what you want
But please love me for me

I may not have a fortune in the bank
Nor being picture beautiful, nor successful
Either way I have so much more to give
Only take the time to love me for me

I am here for you, always by your side
Not wanting anything but your heart
Open your eyes and you shall see a diamond
If you would only love me for me
