John 9 verse 25 "He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind but now I see."

I have been preaching for over 17 years. During this timeframe, I have preached at many places...churches, street corners, radio, nursing homes, fields, and homes. Out of the hundreds of sermons, the Lord has allowed me to preach, only two people have ever sent me a thank you card. One was from Mrs. Betty Taylor. She sent me a card, and it greatly encouraged me. This was over two years ago. Two weeks ago, I had the very special privilege of preaching her funeral.

Yesterday, September 21, 2004, I received a thank you card from Ms. Krause. I preach at one of our local nursing homes, and she is a resident there. Two weeks ago, I preached on "I once was blind but now I see". I could tell by her face, and expressions that the Holy Spirit was drawing her. After the sermon, she asked me to pray for her. I did, and asked the Lord to remove the scales from her eyes.

The card she sent me said " I feel blessed that you helped my faith in Jesus to grow and have a stronger trust. Oh how I love Jesus. I believe He loves me. Your words, music, and example spread His love in my cold, stony heart and set it aflame to love my Lord who died for me. I pray for a childlike trust and that I will be washed in the ocean of His mercy. Thank you for your book (I gave her a copy) and the tape of music. They are inspirational and uplifting and I look forward to your sermons."

This card of thanks touched me in a special way and confirmed my call to preach at the nursing home.
