It came, it saw, and tried to conquer
it was swift as the raging sea
No pity was given it spared me not,
it was only just, my God and me

The winds did blow so fierce and mean
and it was hard at times to explain
How I was able to withstand it's force
and I must admit I did complain

Some tests will do that not knowing why
but do know it was to make me strong
Even though I hoped that it would be over
for to me they did seem too long

What flight I had- it sure looked bad,
how dreary the days went by
In wonder I thought, where is the sun
after I let out a great big sigh

O' where, O' where, can my God be
will He be there to see me through ?
Does He even know, that I am a bit low
and when I fail to know what to do

But He was right there all the time
and He was keeping me within and without
But then after the storm I had to admit
it was no reason for me to ever doubt
