Lord, I am asking you to Heal my Heart,

For I’ve been hurting from the start.

Chisel out the parts of Me,

That keep me far from my own Destiny.

Memories that make me bleed,

Are locked in the secrets that I keep.

I’m too ashamed to share my story,

Even though it will bring you Glory.

Heal the betrayal of so called “friends”,

Sometimes it feels like the pain won’t end.

I need to gasp for a breath of fresh Life,

Make the dead parts of me to come Alive.

I need to let go of the Past,

I can’t waste Time ‘cause it goes fast.

Sometime this heaviness weighs me so much,

That I can’t forget all the battles I’ve lost.

I need to overflow with Joy like Water,

Make me grow think skin so I’ll stand Taller-

For if I give up right here right now,

I will have a dead end and no way out.

Give me a second chance at Life, dear Lord,

For your Great Purpose I am Called.

Give me Tears of Joy Again,

In Christ I Praise, In Christ I’ll stand.
