GOD THE ULTIMATE SATISFACTION
Luke 19
In this text we get the story of zacchaeus who desired fulfillment. He had tried and acquired all that any man could desire power, wealth and position yet his soul was still paining and in desperate search for satisfaction.
When he had about Jesus he thought perhaps his desperate need for inner joy and love might come to an end.
The moment Jesus saw zacchaeus on a sycamore tree, he called him by name and at that instant even before speaking zacchaeus felt inner joy never experienced before and immediately he knew that his search for love and satisfaction was over.
when its your time for God's visitation no one can stop it, it doesn't matter whether you been the most hated individual or the rejected of all rejects, God came to seek and to save that which was lost.zacchaeus was not an exception neither are you.You can still experience that genuine love and joy the moment you look up to him and without speaking he will fill your longing before you know it.
When God comes through everything falls into place.No one told zachaeus to repay what he had stolen but holy spirit immediately convicted him and that moment confession and that dramatic turn around had to take place.Even the teachers of the law and some of the disciples could not understand what was happening, in fact they started grumbling and complaining as to why Jesus visited a thief and a criminal.
Friends people will always see you from your past but when God appears and changes you no one will understand only your personal lifestyle and character will speak for itself.No amount of money position for power could have bought the joy that zachaeus experienced it was all paid up in calvary so that anyone who beliefs might not perish but have eternal life.
It's that point brethren that our lives and character changes from disappointments to appointments, from negativity to positivity, from hatred to love, from rejection to acceptance, from loneliness to happiness and companionship. Zacchaeus had friends from that moment including Jesus himself the saviour of the world.
Today we can find ourselves with that true joy and satisfaction by just responding to the call, he is stretching his hands and calling us by name that we can come to him as we are, despised or not his love knows no bounds and he will come and dine with us that he might bring that deliverance that we so desire.
He is standing at the door and knocking whoever hears his voice and opens the door, to him he will come and fellowship with (revelation 3:20) May you embrace him today and like zacchaeus your inner longing and desire Will be met to the full.
