Stuck on a bridge! (crossing the threshold) -dj eckert

Seems my life has carried me onto this foggy bridge....
Halfway
to THE Hope Eternal

For I feel I am DEAD to the world,
but not yet ALIVE In Christ...
Halfway across this matrimonial bridge....
that HAS my soul so enticed.

Looking back at where I came from...
the air is so crisp and clear,
all the pretty, petty posing...
putrid photographs of
empty death and destruction..., and living with the fear....

Ahead of me though the air is dense and foggy...but YOUR WORD lets my mind get more CLEARED

For I know that YOU walked this
very same bridge
in a wedding like procession
as YOUR angels cheered

Peering into
the foggy Murk
feeling like an
angry dejected Bride waiting for your rescue limo
to move me doesn't work,
because I've tried
and tried and tried.

I know ALL things are possible to YOU , but ONE thing that I NOW reallize...
This ONE idea that my own spirit, seemed to fail to imbibe...

ls that the ONLY thing YOUR Will CANNOT do, is carry MY will
to the other side

I know now I must DECIDE to MAKE my feet move...
riding a Mighty Rushing Wind...
And as I draw closer, to that other side,
past the Devil's "fog machine " that HAD been the source of my soul's chagrin...

Now I see the cast,condensed dew drops of deception falling off of me...like confetti tossed by an estranged and relegated wedding guest
at the lucky bride.

The faster I run, the more the air clears ...
and after what felt like years and years...

What I once thought was the outline of tall buildings
of some mysterious town,
I now more clearly see that they are REALLY God's joy filled angels jumping up and down.

And there YOU are ! kneeling at the end of the bridge, YOUR arms are opened wide.

Tears streaming down YOUR face awaiting.... YOUR lovely,lovely Bride!
