I have Gone So Many Miles

 

I have gone so many miles while living in this world below

Christ has been my fortress and true anchor for my soul

Living for Him daily keeps me on the narrow way

He lights the path before me so from His Word I will not stray

 

Often times I stumble when the way gets rough and steep

But He draws me to His bosom where there's calm and lasting peace

My confidence is strengthened when I'm in His loving care

I know He'll never leave me, He's a God who's always there

 

One day very soon I join Him around His great white throne

And praise His name forever with an everlasting song

Until that day I'll serve Him even when the way gets rough

It will have all been worth it when I reach my home above
