What is Time, and why can’t we manage it better? The lust of this worlds system of economic empowerment is a waste of time. There is a saying, “funny how time flies when you’re having fun!” Time is slow when you’re dying from cancer or when you are suffering from dementia or fleeing from war. Why did I say that? For we wish the issues in front of us is vanquished. For those stricken by disease, encumbers the caretakers with trials.
In the Book of Ecclesiastes Chapter 3, Solomon points to a few concepts about time. He states that seasons are appointed, which no human can change. Through which vicissitudes alters fortune. We learn as the world turns Time is constant and changes will occur which we have no control over. Therefore, we must stay resilient in the Word of God as the world effects our lives.
We ought to make use of what God has given us. Take the Middle East for instance. Time has been given to Sr. Leadership to deal with the up rise of the brutes. Will more time be allotted before an overwhelming force eliminates the brutes? Is there enough time so the Black Lives Matter movement can change the landscape for better justice? Will the migrants flowing from the Middle East have enough time to live out their lives in Peace? Is there enough time to create a parachute before China’s economy moves toward the wasteland?
For those who seek after the spirit of God, towards His will. Not towards the vanity of honor and power, often an instrument of oppression, for which God will judge the oppressors. Is time on our side?
We understand Time. A time for seasons. A time to Die. A time to Kill. A time to Weep. A time to Move Stones. A time for Life. A time to Rent. A time to Profit. A time to be Seen. A time to Eat. A time of Eternity.
For my friend and others where time is running out. Running in and out of the Hospital nearing the end of life. Time allots for us to review pass memories, of time. Do you now have time for God? With no time on hand, now it’s time to pray. This is what I’ll have to do, for a friend because I’m running out of time.
