Some wish to follow the road from Toronto,
while others would warn of its danger;
some like the old-time film hero called Tonto,
while others prefer The Lone Ranger.

Many want eucharist, incense, and steeple,
others have no such agendas;
some folk watch 'Poirot', or 'My Kind of People',
when others view only 'Eastenders'.

Some think church music sounds best from an organ,
while others would opt for guitar;
some choose a Cadillac, others a Morgan,
when buying a secondhand car.

Some churches welcome new 'blessings' for guidance,
while others remain more straitlaced;
how sad, is it not?, that the things which divide us
are largely a matter of taste.
