Week 6 Day 3 Pray on His Word
RECEIVE THE WORD, PRAY THE WORD
And now, O LORD God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish it forever, and do as thou hast said. 2 Samuel 7:25


The word of God comes to us through various means. It comes by a preacher, prophet and also by studying the Bible. David received the word of God concerning his future and destiny by the mouth of the Prophet Nathan. David did something very unique which is instructive for all Christians today. When he received the word of God by the mouth of Nathan in Samuel 7:17, he immediately went into his prayer chamber in verse 18 and prayed based on the promises of God concerning his life. When Jacob had come to the most critical point in his life as he was about to face his brother returning from his uncle Laban, he prayed one prayer in Genesis 32: 9 based on the word of God he received in a dream in Genesis 31:3 with assurances of God’s protection. All he needed to do was to refer God to his promises concerning his life. As believers today, there are so many promises of God concerning our lives on Earth. Take hold of the word for your particular situation, be specific in your prayer, remind God of his own word and appeal to his righteousness. Pray for the establishment of his word concerning your life as David did. Pray on the word of God for your life. You are blessed.

Dear Father Lord, I decree that this day I operate according to God’s divine timetable/ calendar. I decree that God’s agenda is my agenda. I am not my own; I have been bought with a price. I therefore submit myself to you alone. I declare that, like Jesus, “I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me” to manifest the glory of God in Jesus Name. Amen
