Romans 12:2

..Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is good, and acceptable and perfect will of God.

In our Christian growth believers will manifest Christian maturity and growth as we continue doing the will of God by first having a transformed mind, which is achieved by failing to yield to the will of this world and it corrupt systems.

The question now becomes, why and how believers have transformed minds? This is accomplished by submitting to Christ as Lord and Savior and seeing the world through the eyes of God instead of the world/Satan. This present world is under Satan's control and all manner of sin and wickedness is on display trying to entice believers his way is better. Believers know that Satan and this world leads to destruction and eternal separation from God.

Believers must have transformed minds as we are a called nation, and this calls for being separated from this world and its values as they are contrary from the values of God. Believers remain in this world but are not of this world. This is because believers have a permanent home not made by human hands.

Believers are to shine the light of Christ and His righteousness in this sin darkened world. Believers must have transformed minds because Christ paid our sin-debt on the cross at Calvary. Believers have a transformed mind by yielding control to God the Holy Spirit and studying His Word.

Having a transformed mind allows believers to do the will of God, which is good and perfect.
