Created from dust of the ground
God formed and gave man life
A living soul, in His own likeness
Then from a rib, gave him a wife

How magnificent is the thought
God granting them, such esteem
Dominion over the universe
No higher honor, could He deem

How sad the story of the fall
That led to the demise
Of spiritual grandeur they had known
When they were engulfed in Satan's vice

Apart from God, it would have ended there
Their doom sealed for eternity
Yet love greater than we can comprehend
Was extended to them, and you and me

Merciful;- long-suffering, are words we find
When we survey God's attributes
"How often would I have gathered you"
Undying love, we cannot dispute

I marvel of His extended love
It's nothing less than "Amazing Grace"
Amid it all, He still reaches out
To those who will, His plea embrace
