Do angels dream of earthly things,
With heavens point of view,
And pine for worlds unknown to them,
But known to me and you?

In vain do they wish to be,
One day as mortal men,
Where they could walk and talk and laugh,
As witnessed mortals can?

Do they wonder what emotion,
Makes a human laugh or cry,
And why it is although we live,
We sometimes wish to die?

Oh to live as humans do,
In natures vested home,
I feel they would not be here long,
Till they would pine for home.
