Here is S and G! An acronym of the infamous cities Sodom and Gomorrah

The cities that were and ceased to be

Locations that oozed an odour so foul, heaven could not breathe!

The stench of these were overpowering that neighbours (those who were not involved in the same acts as them) found it unbearable and shivered at the goings-on

Genesis 18-19. Genesis chapter 18 records the Lord and two angels coming to speak with Abraham. The Lord notified Abraham that "the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous."

…albeit they tried to coerce other lands to join them or be ostracised!

With an enemy so great and powerful they knew they had no choice but to CALL UPON the Lord who is able to deliver and save in ALL of HIS MIGHT.

What was the sin of these two cities that was ‘worse’ than the sins that abound in that day?

HOMOSEXUALITY was the major sin and iniquity, the term "sodomy" has its roots in the name Sodom referring to anal sex between two men, be it consensual or forced. Undoubtedly, homosexuality was part of why God destroyed the two cities. The men of Sodom and Gomorrah even tried to perform homosexual gang rape on the two angels (who were disguised as men). We cannot really say that this was the only reason why God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah but both cities were definitely astounding in their daring and the depth at which they had fallen in sinful rot.

Ezekiel 16: 49-50 gives us an insight into this:
The word "Detestable" denotes something morally disgusting and these exact same word are used in Leviticus18:22 that states that homosexuality is an "abomination." Similarly, Jude 7 enunciates, "...Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion...PERVERTS WHO WALK AROUND WITHOUT SHAME AND -FLAUNT IT!
Psalm 14:1... They are filled with conceit and say "There is no God", so they make their own moral laws and do as the wish!

Adam and Eve (NOT Adam and Steve!) were created mainly for companionship and other reasons simply followed, the focus was not on FLESHLY LUST.


Leviticus 20;13 1 Timothy 1:10 1Corinthians 6: 9-11 Romans 1:26-28 Mark 10:6-9

Those who attempt to explain away the biblical condemnations of homosexuality assert that the iniquity in Sodom and Gomorrah and the consequential punishment thereof, can be termed ‘inhospitality’.
The men of Sodom and Gomorrah were certainly being inhospitable when they attempted to rape VISITORS to their city! - Genesis 19:4-11
Anyone who accuses God, (the ALMIGHTY!) who completely destroyed two cities and all their inhabitants of being inhospitable is totally out-of-it! While Sodom and Gomorrah were guilty of many horrendous sins, God poured fiery sulfur on them and wiped out whole cities and its inhabitants because they bold-facedly dared Him and His commands in outrageous ways
2 Timothy 4:3

Since that time and even now, the location of Sodom and Gomorrah remains a DESOLATE WASTELAND.
These two serve as a great example of how God feels about sin in general, and homosexuality in particular.
