There are many people who retire and for the rest of their lives they use all their free time playing golf, watching TV, and so on. They may even spend their time talking about the things they used to do for Christ. Or, they may simple say they are just "burned out" and need to retire. Often times, burn out may just be defined as a state of mental exhaustion from long term stress. God can certainly handle that. You see, God did not let you live long enough so you can play golf all day. Use your free time to serve God and advance His kingdom (Jeremiah 29:11).

So, are you burning out or burning up, for Christ? Christian burnout seems to be widespread, in this political charged world, in which we are living. And, I suspect that often times we Christians try to go it on our own, or just give up and retire from it all, rather than seek our Lord's help. Just remember the Apostle Paul's statement in (Philippians 4:13).

Why not stop, take a deep breath, and let God your Heavenly Father, Christ Jesus your Savior, and the Holy Spirit your comforter help, whether you are retied or not (Ex 33:4).

The scripture does not promise we will see results , from our labor. Only that we should go, in faith for our Lord (Matthew 28:18-20).

Remember, it's better to burn out for our Lord, than to burn out for man. So, if you are retired, don't retire from God's service.
