Faith

This question in various forms has been rumbling round in my mind for weeks now. What are you (what am I) as a believer doing or attempting now that you or I would not even consider apart from our faith? What kind of activity or enterprise is there in our day that is only there because we believe in Jesus Christ and are actively leaning on Him in some specific matter? In other words what is happening now in our lives that is unprecedented?

What is there that we would’ve given up on a long time or who is there that we would have walked away from? Or, conversely, what or who have you had recently to sever from your life that only God could have enabled you to boldly do in obedience?
What is going on in our lives, in a word, that is unprecedented? So much of the unprecedented surrounded Jesus.” Never did a man speak like this man speaks.” Come, see a man who told me all things that I ever did.” Since the world began it was not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.” Sound familiar? His life on earth was full of such declarations of fact coming from those who observed Him from all walks of life, and His life is brimming in us today! We too will do unprecedented things even if only unprecedented for us, things shaped to His unique expression in and through each one of us.

Realize that many of the answers to these questions will remain unknown or shrouded to us this side of the veil and wisely so. But there is also some awareness of these answers that can be known to us now, and from which we can be motivated and richly benefit, giving glory to GOD.
