When the Lord Said to A Gentile Woman, “Great is Thy Faith!” Our Lord esteems a simple, regretful prayer whose heart bears the innermost humility. God does not listen to flattering prayers somewhat flowery in words. Matthew 15:8..This people draweth nigh unto with their mouth, and honouring me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. v.9.. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Here is a gentile Caananite woman who pleads to the Lord,begging for mercy in Matthew 15:22.. And behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts of Tyre and Sidon, and cried unto Him, saying, Have mercy on me.O Lord,thou Son of David;my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.Our Lord did not answer to such prayer.v. But later Jesus said, “I am sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” The history of mankind began through Adam and Eve when their sin of disobedience blemished mankind, to the house of Israel whose majority of the Jewish descendants remained on revelry against God, only few Israelites followed the Lord. Primarily, salvation was of the Jews. John 1:11.. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. The Caananite woman has no right to mention, thou Son of David in her pleading because she was a gentile woman. She had just heard about Jesus from the Jews.

At that time, Jewish people exclusively hooked up by the traditions of their Jewish laws that even the disciples of Jesus got influenced by laws sending the gentile woman away for just disturbing them on her cries. Jewish people regarded the gentiles outside Israel like dogs. As of today, false teachers either male and female, denominational Pastors taught the shallow with literal understanding of the word of God on some passages of the scriptures.2 Peter 1:20.. Knowing this first that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. A teacher of the word of God has to be careful in handling the word to the listeners and readers or else they will be found out with many fallible errors in delivering the word of God. A dangerous thing to liability on teaching errors, which many desired to teach people about the word of God with the wrong motive on getting fame, high rank as Bible teachers in earthly ministry, preach for money or reward in heaven. There is no rank in heaven. But in vain, they are only burning hay of labours because they failed to present the gospel of God in the manner of sharing and teaching. Denominational pastors and teachers echoed other resonate doctrines of men, from online shared by internet websites, literal interpretation of the scriptures, and not spiritually grounded of truth about salvation. Grievously vexed with a devil is a sinful condition of man starting from the heart. Lame due to false beliefs, blinded by the evil world and dumb (people could not relate the true salvation and reality of the word of God),maimed(disabled conditions of sins),Our Lord sees that these conditions of sins will place those people to the lake of fire called Hell. Though Our Lord brought the disciples to the multitude,He knew his disciples could not cure sins in Matthew 17:16.

Today the application in our Christian life is, nothing to eat for us.We, Christian believers are spiritually hungry in the wilderness of our Christian lives. Nowadays, Our Lord feeds His people during fellowships of His word(breaking the loaves of bread).While the word of God is delivered during long hours of Bible fellowships, the same people joined (saved Christians and unsaved people) sat down and listened. The word of God is broken into pieces or word by word being taught by a servant of the Lord.When we listened to the word of God, the fullness of grace in our lives overflow. We take joy and peace.The more we trust God.Matthew 17:36..And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. Things of this world when it come to material needs and corruptible things like raising income, financial riches, houses, cars, luxurious things, searching for mates, in world fashions, the scriptures did not emphasize to look after these things in prayer requests and even in Jesus' teachings which perished after all. Our Lord knows the desire and need of our heart.Work in honest way, diligence is a must with balance Christian living with a Godly partner from the Lord, or prefer to stay single like apostle Paul and serving God are requirements to evangelize the gospel.

Foremost, the spiritual understanding of the word of God in delivering to people is God’s priority messages not of physical gain. Leaning back to the gentile woman, she presented her humble heart to Our Lord in simplicity and humility in too much patience on believing truth with one sole motive of receiving grace. Pleading and worshipping him..Matthew 15:25.. Lord, help me. The woman did not demand so many things in her prayer requests to Our Lord. Our Lord sees the desire of woman’s heart. Matthew 15:26.. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread(salvation of the Jews), and to cast it to dogs(gentile people).v.27..And she said.. TRUTH. LORD: yet the dogs(gentile people) eat the crumbs(grace of God) which fall from their master’s table. With only one crumb (GRACE) of the word of God to a gentile woman, the grace, the free gift of eternal life in Jesus Christ, the gentile woman received the free gift of the grace of God, by her faith alone.V.28..Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, GREAT IS THY FAITH: be it unto thee as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

God honours prayers with the same motive of the gentile woman vowed TRUTH in her heart about Our Lord Jesus Christ. Our heart should be focused to Our Lord Jesus Christ in evangelizing the gospel of God to the lost people who are blinded by the darkness of the world deceptions. Be in God's grace.
